Play dates are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in a public park selected by our parents. Play dates are for any child with special needs, their siblings and friends. Some play dates will feature a splash pad, so bring bathing suits and towels. Also bring food and drinks for your family. Volunteers (many of whom are behavior therapists) will be there to help kids with taking turns and learning to play and socialize. After our first six months, we’ve noticed our kids on the spectrum have begun greeting each other and playing games together — which is an extraordinary breakthrough. Play dates are about getting exercise, having fun and practicing social skills.
Visit our Events Page for exact details, but generally, we meet at Sunshine Limitless Playground at the Long Center in Clearwater on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and at Dell Holmes Park in South St. Pete on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
